De Havilland DH.89 Dominie C.1

Already during the Second World War the plans for the new Belgian Air Force incorporated the use of light transport- and liaisonaircraft. The Dominies were some of the first aircraft of the newly formed Air Force and the majority was already in service in 1945 with the (Belgian crewed) Metropolitan Communications Flight and the Belgian Training School at Snailwell (UK).
In the mid50s the Dominies were withdrawn from use. Some ended up on the Belgian civil market, and the remainder was scrapped.
