Early 1911 Baron de Caters offered his aircraft, a 50hp Argus powered Aviatik to King Albert who transferred it to the Compagnie des Ouvriers et Aérostiers. Unfortunately the 50 horsepower Argus engine had a tendency to overheat after only five minutes of operation, which limited the first flights to very short capers around the field.
