Airbus A310-222

Since many years the Belgian Air Force operated two Boeing 727 airliners for mid-range transport of personnel and freight. Due to the ever growing demand for the use of Belgian troops on missions abroad the need arose for a large longer legged airliner. As budget restrictions did not permit the acquisition of new machines two second hand Airbus A310-222 aircraft were obtained from Singapore Airlines. Both transporters are based at Melsbroek airbase near Brussels and form part of the 15th Transport Wing.

• 270997: In service Belgian Air Force
• 170208: damage to engine and engine cowling after a birdstrike
• 171110: Offcial last flight with the Belgian Air Force.
• 000011: Sold to MAD Africa
• 000211: Sold to Dutch company Van Vliet.
• 250511: Finally moved from 15W apron to Lufthansa Technics Brussels (same date as CA02)
• 100112: Registered N461WA to Southern Aircraft Consultancy Inc.Trustee

CA-02 MSN 367

• 030598: In service Belgian Air Force. Transfer from Singapore was delayed due to an accident. Nose landing gear retracted during towing for maintenance, causing the aircraft's nose to fall on the tow-truck. Substantial repairs were made before delivery to the BAF.
• 240809: withdrawn from service (limit date for C-check which was not proceeded with), stored at Melsbroek in 'parking condition' awaiting possible sale
• 011010: Sold to MAD Africa
• 000011: Sold to Dutch company Van Vliet
• 250511: Finally moved from 15W apron to Lufthansa Technics Brussels (same date as CA01)
• 100112: Registered N461VA Southern Aircraft Consultancy Inc.Trustee
